It is jeans you've stole/ borrowed from your boyfriend, or at least looks like it. Which brings us to the key point of this season's fashion key point --- Menswear. Picking out clothes from your own closet to fit the season works, but what's even better is stealing from his closet.

What is Boyfriend Jeans?
Your boyfriend's jeans. No really. But to wear it right, you need to know some how-to. If you don't have a boyfriend, that's okay too. You can get a pair at inexpensive price. But your Summer won't start unless you get a pair! Boyfriend Jeans are LOW RISE, CUFFED, AND BAGGY. Distressed and with holes are a bonus to your overall casual look. Lighter colour jeans are better for the summer season. 




How Do You Wear Boyfriend Jeans? 
Here are some tips that you should note to get the idea of Boyfriend Jeans. 

Key Point 1  Roll up your cuffs!
It is a must-do for your boyfriend jeans. BF Jeans are meant to show off your ankles, if you don't, you misses the point of boyfriend jeans. If you plan to wear a high heel or wedge shoes, roll your jeans up above your ankle to lengthen the look. Roll just below your ankle if you are wearing a flat or sandals. Choose the right length for you, avoid buying those that are too long for you. Too much rolled-up cuffs can be uncomfortable. 

Key Point 2 Balance the femininity 
Don't wear boots or sneakers with your BF Jeans. The jeans itself is already very masculine, wear high heels, flats, roman sandals, to balance off the overall look, and keep a hint of your femininity. 

Key Point 3 Wear a leather belt
Wearing a leather belt can enhance the overall look of your outfit. Especially if it is from your boyfriend! 

Key Point 4 Wear baggy simple top
Baggy and relaxed looks is the theme of this summer's "menswear" style. A simple and relaxed top is best for your BF Jeans. Try to keep it informal and casual. White, black, and gray tops are a great match with your BF jeans. 




How to choose your Boyfriend Jeans?

Key Point 1:
Boyfriend Jeans are meant to be baggy. The butt and crotch shouldn't fit, it should be quite baggy. 
Key Point 2:
You should have distress look or holes on your BF jeans, it adds great casual look to your outfit.
Key Point 3:
If you happens to choose a pair of jeans that's really low rise, wear a leather belt, so it won't fall off.

It is time to do a clean-up for your closet because Spring is just around the corner! Punk fashion is one of the theme for Spring/ Summer 2011, but it is a risky theme as you may easily go overboard. You want to give a sense of rebellion and controversy for punk fashion. But not over played. This season is about mixing in your punk elements in your outfit, and not the overall outfit.
